Page to the Stage is one of our most popular lecture/demonstrations. In it we explain to the audience how we take the text of a play that describes (or sometimes merely implies!) a fight, and turn that into choreography that is responsible, organic, and true. We use examples from shows we have done and we demonstrate fights we have choreographed for various plays. The main emphasis is on how the choreographic decisions are made, although a small amount of time is spent explaining the basic illusions that are our primary tools. This lecture/demo can be tailored for any age or size audience from first graders to adults.
