Smallsword for the Stage  

R&D Choreography is excited to offer our Winter 2012 Fightshop class: Smallsword for the Stage. Considered by many the pinnacle of duelling weapons, the smallsword has a shorter, light blade that allows for lightning-fast attacks and pinpoint accuracy. For the actor, this weapon is perhaps the most challenging--both physically and mentally--for the style demands precise point control, explosive footwork, and economy of motion matched with a solid grasp of blade geometry, an intuitive feel for measure, and a precise sense of timing. These are skills that have no shortcut, so we are offering a full twenty hours of instruction over the eight-week term.

The class is open to experienced fighters and novices alike; we will have three instructors on hand so we can subdivide students by skill level if needed. We promise to challenge everyone!

Early registration is encouraged, and tuition can be paid online through our website or paid via cash/check at the door.
